EMILY HEATHCOTE  Clarinettist

 

Emily began studying the clarinet at the age of 6.  In 2009 Emily won a full scholarship to study at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

 

During her time at the Guildhall she was awarded the June Emerson Chamber Music Prize, Sussex Recital Prize, finalist in the Ivan Sutton Chamber Music Competition, twice woodwind finalist in the Tunbridge Wells International Concert Artist Competition (2010,2012), finalist in the 5th Israeli Chamber Music Competition, finalist in the Needlemakers Prize, the Mary Richmond Ryan Award, Marlow Music Medal, as well as being offered a place as Junior Fellow in Chamber Music and a Masters degree with Distinction.

 

Emily has recorded for BBC Radio 3 and Channel 4 and has performed for the Maltese Government, at Buckingham Palace, Colston Hall Bristol, Cliveden House, Victoria and Albert Museum, Linbury Theatre ROH, and the Royal Overseas League. Other chamber music performances include working with members of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra and New York Philharmonic Orchestra.

 

JASON ANDERSON  Pianist / Composer

 

Jason works as a freelance pianist and composer based in London. Originally from the Philippines, he moved to England where he began his music studies at the Purcell School of Music, most recently completing a Masters in composition and a Junior Fellowship at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. 

 

He has performed numerous solo and duo recitals in London including at the Purcell room, Cadogan Hall, and more recently on the Cunard Queen Mary 2. He has also had the privalege of performing for HRH The Prince of Wales, and former President Ramos of the Philippines. Composition highlights include winning the BBC Guardian Proms Young composer 2004, 'Sirenenes' for 2 sopranos and chamber ensemble at the Wigmore Hall, and 'Circles' broadcast on BBC Radio 3 Late Junction.
